Electrical Fires in RV's can be reduced by having your electrical system inspected and tested each and every year. The following recent photo was taken at a job on a 5th Wheel RV. The customer complaint - LOST All POWER. Upon further inspection and multiple electrical tests it was determined the electrical problem would be found in the main junction box where the 30 amp Shore Power Cord transitions to the 30 amp Romex cable that serves all the 120 volt power to the coach. Once the main junction box was located the repair took very little time to repair. Note that each RV manufacturer locates the main Junction Box in different locations so it may take some time to locate it in your RV. **Special Note** This type of work should be left for a Certified Master RV Technician. RV SAFETY MONITORS-The safety monitors inside your RV should monitor the presence of LP Gas and Carbon Monoxide. In addition, you should also have smoke alarms through out the RV. Test your monitors periodically and replace batteries as needed. Keep your family safe and remember to replace your monitors every 5 years.
