Summer is on the way and even when the temperature is cold in the morning your going to need the air conditioning to work when its mid day. Pennsylvania seasons change by the hour so don't sweat it literally. This 2005 Subaru Forester L.L. Bean had a bad compressor clutch. The compressor was replaced as also the condesor, thermal expansion valve, and service port lines. This is done to keep the warranty for the compressor. On a side note first generation Foresters have the thermal expansion valve inside on the evaporator core which is accessible removing the glove box and brackets not removing the whole dashboard. Great concept but assembling was tricky.

More spring changes pun intended. Even the repair man's car had some neglect. Yep all time time attending to everyone's broken car issues deferred work caught up. The 2010 Toyota Camry LE service car had all the calipers, brakes hoses, cabin air filter, and front and rear struts replaced. After doing a half season of winter rally crossing the front bumper stop on the left strut was ripped apart, left front and rear caliper piston boots ripped, and the rear pads were completely gone. Still to do is four new tires, transmission oil service, alignment, left rear wheel bearing, and stainless steel brake line upgrade.

2012 Toyota Sienna transmission filter and oil service. Most over looked fluid in all vehicles is the transmission. This example her has 77,000 miles and has no issues just a change. Usually this should be done at 30,000 or 35,000 miles intervals. The owner was explain possible risk if it was done anytime later and proceeded to have it changed. Most likely, if the fluid came out more red, then black, you do have a chance of having no issues. As this actually happened to be red coming out. If it comes out black and has a burnt metal smell. There is chance of issue because of the breakdown of the clutches is in that fluid. Once removed, they have nothing to grip onto and begin the slip, causing the transmission to lose all forward gears. Yes, routinely changing the flow it. You have a better chance of keeping the transmission longer. Waiting past that window a mileage could result in a transmission failure down the road. Sooner as explained. This scenario, however, works out because of the condition and the odor isn't metallic at all.

Cold weather again? Heater not working and the radio is so loud that the dinging on the dash can't be heard. This 2017 Ram 1500 Limited lack of heat and then the owner drove until he saw some steam with the radio so loud couldn't hear the alarm. The corporate was a water pump seal leak. Luckily no head gasket issues from over heating. Replaced water pump, serpentine belt, belt tensioner, and thermostat. After 3 gallons of antifreeze it was back on the road.
Just a heads up limited schedule in May will be run since big things will be happening. More news in the next few months.
