Another Cruising year has come to an end all too quickly. Weather again was our nemesis but despite that we still managed to hold some great Cruise-In’s with September being our best in the last several years with approx. 350 + vehicles.
It’s not easy putting on an event the size of ours and we would not be as successful doing so without the dedication and help from our club members and other volunteers who work the tables and perform many behind the scenes functions to make things run smoothly.
A big thanks as well goes out to all of our sponsors who help us pay the bills associated with putting on these shows and provide all those raffle prizes we give away at each one. A big shout out goes to our resident DJ, Jeff McGee, for announcing and providing all of those great tunes at each event for us to enjoy.
We would also like to extend our appreciation to the Towanda Plaza Shopping Center for allowing us to have our fun in their huge parking lot, thanks once again for the use of your facility!
And of course, these events would not even be possible without the participation of the vehicle owners from with-in and around the community who proudly display their rides for the rest of us to admire and drool over. Your attendance and support is much appreciated!
Each year the Twin City Cruisers select a charity to support and this year at our October Cruise-In we presented a $1000.00 check to the Boys and Girls Club of Bloomington-Normal who provide a valuable service to the communities.
So, hats off to everyone involved for another great Twin City Cruiser’s Cruise-In season and we’re looking forward to seeing you all again in 2020.
