Be deer aware!! 🦌 They are moving!!

It's that time of year again when deer are on the move! 🦌 Over the last two years, Iowa has seen nearly 14,000 animal-related crashes, resulting in 556 injuries and 10 fatalities. Remember, deer are most active at dawn and dusk but can cross your path anytime.

Please drive cautiously and reduce your speed in high deer traffic areas.

P.S.A.

With all the storm damage from Saturday night. I just wanted to give some advise on how to deal with the insurance companies on automotive claims. Do NOT download the insurance companies App and send them any pictures of your damage! They will cut you a check for half of the $$ amount of damage you have. Doesn't matter if you want us (Daves Collision Shop) to fix it or a different body shop. It's in your best interest to have a body shop look at it first!

Travel is NOT Advised in Winneshiek County. The blowing and drifting snow has drastically reduced visibility and most roads are impassable! In the event of an emergency, it may be impossible to get emergency vehicles to the scene.

Something to be aware of.... Some insurance company's are starting to change the way they handle claims. Best thing is to call us at Dave's Collision Shop first. 😉 Make sure you know how the insurance claim process works.
