If youโre planning a purchase or sale, itโs important to familiarize yourself with our Sale of Vessel Form, at the first link below. This is one requirement for vessel owners and buyers to transfer a Mooring License Agreement.
A key point to understand:
Mooring agreements are tied to the originally contracted vessel and CF number โ they do not automatically transfer with the sale of a vessel, and the vessel cannot be swapped out for another vessel. This is detailed in section one of the Mooring License Agreement, found at the 2nd link below.

What this means for you:
Buyers and sellers should not assume a slip or mooring will transfer as part of a transaction. There are specific requirements, evaluations, and documentation that must be completed to contract and remain in compliance.
