Bought a new, but never-issued 1972 Nebraska bus license plate a few months ago on EBAY. Sent it into the state at the end of April to have it issued to my 73 Volkswagen Westfallia. It must’ve got lost in the mail, but just arrived today! Love it! 🧡☮️

On April 7th, about 6 weeks (and driven fewer than 300 miles) after a full mechanical restoration of the bus, the engine started dropping in power and made a horrible knocking noise, rocking more than usual. I was close to home, and it’s been sitting here since. Was going to drive it out to the mechanic who did the work, but it’s almost 10 miles away and I am nervous doing so could do damage driving that far running like this. What should I do? What would you do?

The rearview mirror on my 1973 Volkswagen bus broke. Not surprising - it was very fragile from the sun’s UV rays and age. I see a bunch of different ones out on the Internet, but I’d like to buy a quality one. Any recommendations? Thanks!

Just had a delightful evening adventure with Sparky as we ventured into Dundee, a charming historic neighborhood in Omaha, Nebraska, that’s just a stone’s throw away from where we live. We treated ourselves to some scrumptious falafels and a batch of curry fries from Amsterdam Falafel and Kebab - highly recommend if you’re in the mood for delicious eats! 🍟🥙

To top it off, we had the pleasure of meeting an amazing older gentleman, a lifelong Volkswagen aficionado, who’s about to celebrate his 80th birthday. He shared fascinating tales of his adventures with various Volkswagens throughout the years. What a memorable evening!
