Crane Cable Replacement Completed

Another crane back up and working. Our team removed the damaged cable and rigged a brand-new cable to get this unit operating safely and efficiently again.

Proper rigging and installation are critical to ensure smooth operation, safety, and maximum uptime for the customer.

CAT 3560 PLUNGER PUMP REBUILD

Rebuilding a CAT pump for a customer today. After tearing it down, we found damaged seals that were causing performance issues. The pump was rebuilt with new valves and seals to restore proper operation and reliability.

INOPERATIVE HEATER — 2018 DODGE 2500
This 2018 Dodge 2500 came in with an inoperative heater. After diagnosis, we confirmed the issue was internal to the HVAC system and required replacement of the HVAC box to restore proper heat.
With cold weather here, a working heater isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity. Repairs are underway to get this truck back to blowing heat and ready for work.

TRANSMISSION DIAGNOSTICS — NO 4TH OR 9TH GEAR

Customer reported the transmission would not shift into 4th or 9th gear. After draining the transmission fluid, we found metal contamination in the fluid, indicating internal transmission damage.

To minimize downtime for the customer, the next step is replacement of the transmission, which is the fastest and most reliable solution to get the truck back on the road.

SUSPENSION DIAGNOSTICS — TRUCK LEANING ISSUE

Customer came in with a complaint of the truck leaning to one side. After performing a suspension inspection, we found the steer axle springs were flattened, causing the uneven ride height.

Proper diagnostics lead to the right repair, catching suspension issues early helps prevent tire wear and handling problems.

ELECTRICAL DIAGNOSTICS — PTO STAYING ENGAGED

Customer reported the PTO was staying engaged. We started by checking for air leaks and testing the PTO solenoid to rule out air and mechanical issues. After verifying those were operating correctly, we removed the dash panels and began testing the PTO switch and relay.

During testing, we found an electrical short behind the instrument cluster. The short was repaired, everything reassembled, and PTO operation was retested system is now functioning properly.

SERVICE CALL FOR CHECK ENGINE LIGHT & FUEL SYSTEM FAILURE

Responded to a service call for a check engine light. Upon arrival, diagnostics showed low fuel rail pressure. We removed the fuel filter and found metal contamination in the fuel system, confirming an internal failure.

To correct the issue properly and prevent future damage, DTF will be replacing the complete fuel system with an upgraded common rail upgrade kit.

VACUUM PUMP REBUILD — LOSS OF SUCTION & OVERHEATING

Customer came in with a vacuum pump that was losing suction and overheating. After pulling the front cover, we found the vane beginning to fold a sign of internal wear and failing components.

We performed a complete teardown and rebuild with new bearings and fresh internals to restore full suction and proper cooling. Pump is now operating like it should.
