It’s been a long, hot week. Multiple 100 degree days but I still managed to get a complete rolling chassis together for the “Wet Willy” project. Still have a few little details to button up. Brake lines, fuel lines and the Willys pedal assembly installed.

Something that a lot of people don’t understand. In their defense if you don’t do this all the time like I do you wouldn’t. It’s the fact that not all parts that “fit” actually fit. Don’t get me wrong a lot of parts fit right out of the box and then there’s the rest. They’re close. They look like they should fit but

Some require varying degrees of
“modification” to fit and perform properly.

Customer wanted power windows in “Wet Willy”. Checked around and nobody offers them for a Willy’s truck. The guys at Nu Relics stepped up and said,” send us your regulators and we’ll see what we can do”. Well I got them back today and they knocked it out of the park. Refurbished my old regulators and grafted their new mechanism to it. They look awesome! Big shout to Nu Relics for making this happen for our customer.

Progress on “Wet Willy”. Engine is built and ready to go back in. New carb, fuel pump, all tune up parts and new clutch kit. Differentials rebuilt and resealed. Ball joints, axle joints, spindles, Warn hubs and brakes all around. Upholstery is coming along nicely. Power window regulators complete and coming back in a few days. Started blasting of chassis. Have all new springs waiting. Shocks on the way. Should have a complete rolling chassis in a few short weeks. Making headway on multiple fronts. Can’t wait to see the completed rolling chassis and all these parts assembled in one place.
