Some DOT5 (purple) brake fluid added to a DOT4 system. No they are not compatible.

When mixed they form a gel and cause your moving brake system parts to jam full of goo.

Full system disassembly, deep clean, flushing of lines, and replacement of all seals and o-rings is the result.
