Multiple Shifts (Always Closed on Weekends):
• 1st shift: Mon-Fri (7:00am-3:30pm)
• 2nd shift: Mon-Thurs (2:30pm start time; 4, ten hour shifts)
**Full Time Opening for a Working Shop Supervisor (Diesel Mechanic).**
Responsibilities:
• Working Supervisor (combination of player & coach) must oversee mechanics on shift
• Ensure everyone is working safely and always using proper PPE. Immediately address and report any safety issues or concerns
• Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to team members
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with vehicles. Repair and Service Customer Vehicles. Complete DOT Inspections and MVI Safety Inspections. Road test all repaired vehicles and Perform Quality Control Checks
• Kohrs’ repair work consists of approximately 40% Light Duty (i.e. up to Ford F550, Chevrolet/GMC 5500, Ram 5500, etc.), and 60% Medium and Heavy Duty (up to Class 8 Trucks)
• Type up customer repair orders or invoices, correspond with customers regarding repairs, correspond with Suppliers to order needed parts, and take customer payments, as necessary
Qualifications:
• 2+ years experience as Light, Medium & Heavy Duty diesel truck mechanic is preferred
• Experience in a supervisory or leadership role is preferred
• Driver License/Good Driving Record is a must
• CDL Class B is preferred
• Attention to detail and a sense of pride and quality of work
• Candidate must be self-motivated
• Must be dependable and have a good work ethic
• Ability to lead and mentor others while supporting a team environment
• Must have own tools
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
