Tonight during drill, our members focused on ground ladder operations using our indoor training window. We practiced mounting and dismounting with tools, different placement methods, and proper technique for hoisting a charged hoseline.
A great job by everyone involved for putting in the work! 👏

This morning, we gathered for our annual Benevolent Memorial service—a dedicated time to pause, reflect, and honor the legacy of those who are no longer with us.
We proudly remember our past members, honorary members, and Ladies Auxiliary members who paved the road before us. Their dedication set a standard of excellence, and we remain committed to keeping their memory alive by upholding the strong foundation and high expectations they established.
Forever in our thoughts, forever part of our story. 🙏❤️

This morning, the Winona Lake Engine Company was dispatched to a report of smoke coming from a residence. Upon the arrival of Winona Lake Car 2, a 2nd alarm was quickly requested.

Shortly after 8:00 AM, our department— Good-Will Engine 314 and Good-Will Car 2—was assigned to the scene. Upon arrival, our crew was tasked with performing a primary search. The search yielded negative results, confirming that all occupants had safely evacuated the residence.
Following the search, our members worked alongside multiple neighboring agencies to bring the fire under control. Our crews completed operations and were returned to service around 11:30 AM.

It is always a pleasure operating alongside our Town of Newburgh public safety partners.

A special thank you to the Walden Fire Department for providing standby coverage at our station while we were operating on scene.
