I just met a really nice couple who I almost left stranded because my day has been TERRIBLE and I just wanted to climb in bed with Nickolas Jr. and my Holly!

One super unproductive and Expensive day☑️

Just after 11pm I was on my way home and decided to stop at Stop Mart for some candy😂(I’m a fat kid 💪🏻 ) and I seen a guy bent over changing a tire on a VW. The guy stands up and stares at me my whole way by 👀. I thought he was mean mugging me because he was staring me right in my eyes and it was the ole thousand yard stare.

So anyway I keep on trucking and go inside for my goodies. I asked my guy at the counter what the deal was with “Mr. Thousand yard stare” out in the parking lot? Turns out the guy has been out there for some hours trying to change his tire. The church on Mt Vernon rd down past the old Rosevelt school has a GINORMOUS pot hole in front of it and the guy hit it and it punctured his tire, along with 20 other cars I guess, who were all parked in the church parking lot chanting profanities with little picket signs and what not

So anyways “long story long”, or whatever they say 😂 it wasn’t a stare of hatred he was giving me, it was a stare of desperation. He needed me and my chocolate covered magic mechanical digits to do what they do on his VW. He said 3 or 4 others had stopped and never came back and another tryd to use her AAA for him but they wouldn’t and even the tow companies were even giving this man a hard time.

Well I just closed the shop and locked the gate and was finally on my way home(another late night, what’s new) and I was so exhausted, my clothes were soaking wet already and I was cold. But me and the couple talked for a sec and then I jumped in my truck and hit the highway and high tailed it back to Gear Headquarters. Once I got back it to the car it took a good half hour of beating, drilling and prying but we got that damn lock nut off and got there spare on for them. They were pretty stoked and it made me happy that it made them happy. They did pay me for my time also and that definitely took some of the sting away from the bad day.

The moral of this story is, if u are on ur way home after a sh*tty day and think a snickers will cheer u up and u see a car broke down at Stop Mart…. Then keep going and go to Duke………… 😊🤭😂

I just thought I would share this with u all. I remember so many times where I was in the same position as them and would have loved help or even times where i had gotten help.
