And getting support doesn’t mean being told to nurse more, pump more, or just “try harder.”

It means looking at your milk supply, your baby, and your goals and figuring out what can actually help.

Maybe that’s increasing your supply. Maybe it’s making pumping more effective. Maybe it’s troubleshooting something that just isn’t working.

Your job isn’t to have all the answers. That’s where we come in. ❤️

This is NOT the time to “give it time and see what happens”

If you’re nursing and your baby isn’t gaining weight as expected, getting support early matters.

Not because you’ve done something wrong. And not because it automatically means breastfeeding isn’t working.

But we need to figure out what’s happening.

You need someone who can look at your baby, your feeding, your milk supply, and your goals and help you make a plan.

But what I didn’t realize at the time… was that I wasn’t failing.

I just didn’t have the right information.

So I did what every mom does:

I tried harder.
Pumped more.
Tried the cookies social media raved about.
Googled and tried it all.
Changed everything I could think of.

And nothing changed.

Because it wasn’t about effort.

It was about having someone actually show me what my body needed…
how to use my pump correctly… and creating a plan that worked for me.
