This 2022 Ford Maverick made its way over from the guys at Polished Performance after a few “small” upgrades.

I’ll say this — the biggest improvement from this tune isn’t just the power, it’s the driving feel.

From the factory the throttle pedal is extremely dead and unresponsive, and the transmission shift strategy and torque converter schedule leave a lot to be desired.

After recalibrating the electronic throttle mapping and transmission controls, this truck honestly feels like a completely different vehicle. The throttle response is crisp, the shifts are much more decisive, and the overall driving experience is dramatically better.

Another Coyote dialed in at Lawson Tuning Solutions. 🔥

This 2011 Mustang GT rolled in after the new owner had just purchased the car. The power delivery just wasn’t there and the car simply didn’t drive the way a boosted Coyote should.

So we put it on the dyno and started digging into the calibration.

After reviewing the tune and recording some initial datalogs it didn’t take long to see what was going on. A few small errors in the calibration were stacking up, including incorrect injector data for the ID1000s and a MAF curve that was a bit out of line. Both of those issues will throw fueling way off and make a car feel lazy or inconsistent.

It was time to dial this thing in... After correcting the injector data, recalibrating the MAF, and cleaning up the tune, this thing absolutely came alive.

Mod list:

• Roush 2.3L Supercharger
• 72mm pulley
• Sai Li full return fuel system
• ID1000 injectors
• Long tube headers
• Full exhaust

Once everything was dialed in, the results were exactly what a combo like this should deliver.

💥 640 RWHP
💥 580 lb-ft of torque
💥 10 PSI of boost
💥 Running on 93 octane

Best part? The car now drives smooth and consistent like a stock Mustang until you put your foot in it.

This is a great reminder that even the best parts won’t perform their best without a proper calibration.

Just finished tuning this nasty 2018 Camaro ZL1 and it is an ANIMAL.

High on life this weekend doing some diagnostic work and a "Tune Health Check" on a good friend's recently purchased 2012 GT500. If you would have told me 10 years ago I'd be a "Mustang guy" I'd have cried tears laughing🤣. But brother... there's just something about these things!

I can't take any credit tune wise on this one, however, after coming thru auctions and a few different sets of hands it got "lost in the sauce" somewhere that this was an E85 dedicated tuned car. It came to me on pump gas with the check engine light on and would not make a clean pull without breaking up badly. But after some datalogging, wizardry, and analysis of the setup on this car I was able to determine that it desperately needed some E85 and properly gapped spark plugs.

-2012 GT 500 55,000 miles
-VMP Gen 2R TVS supercharger
-2.4" upper pulley/ Innovators West Lower
-18-21 psi of boost 😁

Needless to say this thing absolutely rips now with a full tank of E85 and good spark plugs. This combo is capable of 800-880 rwhp with some variables in there but I can say for certain the butt dyno confims these numbers.

One of this week's projects was this gorgeous 2009 Pontiac G8. This car was built and tuned in Virginia originally and made it's way down to Athens, Alabama with E85 in the tank the whole way. The car was tuned for flex fuel in Virginia, but as the owner began to fill up with 93 octane the car went downhill fast and was running like crap.... to the point it wouldn't even make a half throttle pull without some pretty wild bucking.

Your boy quickly found some issues with the injector data and flex calibration itself and went to work re-tuning this wild setup:

-Built 408 inch LS2
-BTR stage 2 Boost cam
-Fore innovations fuel sytem w/ ID1050x injectors
-Procharger D1-SC pullied for 10-12 psi at redline.
-Fully built 6L80 w/ 3400 stall converter

The results did not dissapoint! The car effortlessly laid down 685 rwhp/686 ft-lbs on a rather conservative pump gas tune!!! I cannot wait to see this one again on a smaller pulley and some good fuel🙏

Today’s project was this mean-looking 2016 Mustang GT Premium RTR edition, recently picked up by one of my returning customers. The car had just received a fresh engine, along with catted long-tube headers and a larger intake that required recalibration.

Even though it ran decent beforehand, fuel trims were adding roughly 15% across the board just to keep up — so it was definitely ready for a proper tune.

While this one didn’t hit the dyno today, based on personal testing with my own 2016 GT, these same mods typically pick up around 25 WHP once the calibration is dialed in. After final adjustments, this car felt noticeably stronger and smoother — and the owner confirmed it with the seat-of-the-pants dyno!
