The body shop sent over the next set of photos. Metal work and replacement panels installed. This is exciting as I can envision the end result.

I don't post much here because the work on the body stalled. With that said, its been made a priority by the shop and they tacked the new sills and posts and got the doors mounted and aligned. Hope to have it by the end of winter. Here are some updated photos.

This might not seem like much but it's on the lift and getting worked on. I can't do body work so I rely on professionals. I have seen the work this shop produces and it is worth the wait.

This is the ignition switch for the 1960 MGA, the key was lost decades ago and part of this project was having a key made. I went to Koons Locksmiths in Fort Myers Florida the master locksmith working there hand cut a new master copy. It's a true art form and I couldn't be more happy. Look them up if you need lock work done.

Sandblasting and rust inhibitors are applied, and the next step is metalwork. I want to thank Northeastern Auto Coach LLC in Greenport NY. This is a complicated project because of the amount of damage and rust but it certainly coming together.

Sandblasting is not quit finished, but what a difference getting the rust and old paint off makes. For full disclosure I am not doing this work.

So I haven't posted in a while, yesterday the MG got sent to the body shop for a total restoration. I restored the chassis my self but the body is beyond my skill level. So the last post I was going to install the new rockers and that didn't go as planned. So off it goes to the professionals. As stated the chassis is 95% complete under the mess of a body so in a years time it will finally be finished. It's a very exciting day.

Body is in place, mounting doors next then i can tack in supports to make the body rigid and then replace the rockers and sills.

So the body was set up to start replacing some sections and repairing others. What it needs

New rockers and sills on both sides including B post covers.
The nose has a split that will need reinforcement.
Driverside inner fender and mount.
New trunk floor.
Bulkhead.
And overall going through cleaning, sandblasting, smoothing rough edges.
