Sometimes even as a tech, you have to call in some extra help! Our front window on our personal RV slid down a couple inches on our last trip and we are lucky it didn’t fall out during travel! It was getting ready to rain so we had to call in reinforcements ASAP!

We have had a few inspections as of late and they all have one thing in common... They understood the importance of having their large purchase inspected prior to taking ownership!

Thinking about buying an RV? Don’t let excitement steer the wheel—make a pre-purchase inspection your first stop.

An RV might look spotless on the outside, but hidden issues in the roof, plumbing, electrical systems, or appliances can turn your dream purchase into a costly mistake. A professional pre-purchase inspection gives you a clear picture of what you’re really buying—before you sign on the dotted line.

It’s not just about avoiding problems. It’s about negotiating with confidence, planning for future maintenance, and making sure your investment is road-ready from day one.

Buy smart. Travel smarter. Get the inspection first. 🚐

💧 Small Leak… BIG Damage in an RV! 🚐

Today we found a leaking water pump that had been slowly dripping behind a panel. The owner didn’t notice it at first, but over time that small leak turned into soaked flooring and the beginning of soft spots in the subfloor.

RV water pumps run often and are tucked away where you can’t always see them. A loose fitting, cracked pump housing, or worn seal can allow water to drip every time the pump cycles.

A quick inspection can save you thousands in repairs.

Things to watch for:
🔹 The pump running when no faucets are open
🔹 A musty smell inside cabinets
🔹 Damp carpet or soft flooring
🔹 Water stains around the pump compartment

Regular RV inspections and maintenance help catch problems like this before they turn into major water damage.

If your RV pump seems to run too often or you notice signs of moisture, it’s worth getting it checked out.

A small leak today can become a big repair tomorrow. 💦

The customer is still deciding on how they want to finish off the floor!

This customer was thankful we did an AC service on his 2 ACs before the warm weather rolled in!

🔥 Don’t Let Your RV A/C Quit on the Hottest Day of the Year! ❄️🚐

Every spring we see the same thing — RV owners fire up their air conditioner for the first trip of the season… and it doesn’t cool, trips breakers, or won’t start at all.

Most of the time, these problems could have been prevented with a simple A/C service.

At Rollin’ N Strollin’ RV, our A/C service helps make sure your system is ready for summer travel.

Our service includes checking and cleaning critical components like:

🔧 Capacitors and electrical connections
❄️ Evaporator and condenser coils
💨 Airflow and filters
⚡ Amp draw and system performance
🧰 Loose wiring and potential failure points

Catching small issues early can prevent expensive breakdowns, improve cooling performance, and extend the life of your A/C.

☀️ Don’t wait until the first 90° camping trip to find out your A/C isn’t ready.

📅 Schedule your RV A/C service today and stay cool all season long!

🚨 ATTENTION RV OWNERS 🚨

We have already started seeing:

💥 Cracked toilet valves
🚿 Leaking outside showers
🚰 Damaged faucets
🛁 Cracked or leaking shower heads
🔧 And more unexpected plumbing surprises

In almost every case, the cause is improper winterization — or no winterization at all. ❄️

At Rollin’ N Strollin’ RV, we recommend:

💨 Blowing out your lines with compressed air
🧊 AND running RV antifreeze throughout your plumbing system

In most parts of the country, doing both provides the best protection when storing your RV for the winter.

This winter has been colder than normal in many areas — and that’s exactly why we recommend this method. You just never know when temperatures will drop lower than expected. One hard freeze is all it takes to cause costly damage.

Don’t let a preventable issue delay your spring camping plans or turn into an expensive repair.

Cooling Unit Replacement on a Norcold RV Absorption Fridge!

🚐❄️ Best Practices for RV Fridge Use (Save Your Food & Your Fridge!) ❄️🚐

RV refrigerators aren’t like the one in your house—using them the right way makes a huge difference in cooling performance and lifespan. Here’s how to keep yours running strong 👇

✅ Level your RV
Absorption fridges must be level to work properly. Even being slightly off can lead to poor cooling or long-term damage.

✅ Pre-cool before loading
Turn the fridge on 12–24 hours before a trip. A cold fridge with cold food cools far more efficiently.

✅ Don’t overload it
Airflow is key. Overpacking blocks circulation and causes warm spots.

✅ Use fridge fans
Small 12V fans inside the fridge help move cold air evenly—simple upgrade, big improvement.

✅ Limit door opening
Every door opening lets cold air escape. Grab what you need and shut it quick.

✅ Use the correct power source
Use electric (shore power) when plugged in and follow manufacturer recommendations for operation when not connected.

✅ Clean vents & coils
Dust, bugs, and debris reduce efficiency. Annual cleaning helps prevent cooling issues.

⚠️ Bonus tip:
If your fridge smells like ammonia or won’t cool properly, you may be dealing with a failing cooling unit.

📍 Proper use and regular maintenance can prevent spoiled food and expensive repairs.
