Back when we worked on the car midweek and after all the work in the shop was done it was time for stooging around.

Today we recreated a scene from thirty years ago outside of the race car shop at Dave's barn. Thanks to Dave's daughter Megan for taking the picture.

Open House party at Dave Dissinger Racing today Sunday March 1, 2026

Suds, stories, stars, stock cars and more filled the Garage Mahal of Dave Dissinger Racing. Lots of food with plenty of ratchet jawing stories of the memories at the local tracks. Racing hot shoes included not only Big Daddy Dave himself but wheel twisters such as Rapid Roy Wiest the Stock Car Boy, Jr. Mikosz, Dennis Bailey, Aaron Brommer, Gage Phillips, Sven Olson, Jim Fox and more.

Well they say you can't win in the warm ups in racing! WELL leave it up to our fearless leader to tip the scales WRONG! Like to congratulate our own Dave Dissinger on winning his warm up session. This custom trophy is constructed of 3/4 of the parts needed to get him back on the track! The trophy was presented to Mr. Dissinger from Neiman Racing his car owner. Curt Neiman himself constructed the wonderful piece of art for this presentation.

50 years of racing action with the big guy Dave Dissinger. On Saturday May 10th, Dave was in action at the Circle M Ranch Speedway Racers Reunion in Auburn Pa. Dave brought along his #88 flathead modified coupe that was driven by Grandview track champion Don Loder. For years the car was named the Chicken Coupe as it is today. He also brought along his Sportsman modified #157 which is in memory of the coal region legendary driver Andy Fayash Jr. Sadly Andy was killed in his garage while working on his own race car a number of years ago. Andy was well known and is sadly missed by many.

Today the two time Big Diamond Sportsman track champion continues on with his passion of racing. Dave's never ending commitment to help many other racers achieve their dream is very well noted and it shows. The multiple feature winner at many tracks in the northeast is quite a story. I know I had a great time working on Dave's pit crew when my work wasn't in demand, lots of great memories and this past Saturday returned many of those great memories.

Thanks Dave for all you do in the world of dirt track stock car racing!
