Land Speed Record: achieved.

Congratulations to JCB on setting a new FIA world land speed record with a hydrogen combustion powered vehicle of 406.320mph with JCB Hydromax. Taking place at Bonneville Salt Flats, Defender OCTA was the selected push vehicle, as two British Engineering pioneers worked together.

Operating on a surface that was incredibly loose, Defender OCTA's combination of all-wheel drive capability and twin turbo V8 made it the perfect partner. Fitted with an integrated winch mounted push plate, Defender OCTA pushed the 2,550kg JCB Hydromax to 60mph in 300m. Defender OCTA's 6D Dynamics suspension ensured the push plate angle was maintained during acceleration.
