Sung Kang’s new movie is called Drifter, his directorial debut.

It’s a drift-focused sports-action film made with real cars, real drifters, and the car community.

The cast includes well-known car and drift figures like Adam LZ, Dai Yoshihara, Chelsea DeNofa, Rutledge Wood, and more.

A major part of the film will be shot live during the Legends of Drift event at Raceway Park, New Jersey on August 23–24, 2025, with fans possibly appearing on screen.

Kang calls it his dream project, aiming for an authentic, community-driven take on drifting.

Still in production, no release date yet.
