The Northeast region has spent years supporting the spec corvette series and was instrumental in getting the class allowed nationally in SCCA’s Touring 2 class. But as of this year the spec corvette series has decided to eliminate the Touring 2 built Corvettes from their series and have been excluded from their rule set. Therfore, the group has decided to go a different direction and will be running the Touring 2 class this year in regional and majors races with scca. This years schedule:

2. April 19-20 Summit Point (Majors)
3. May 3-4 VIR (MARRS/SARRC)
4. May 24-25 New Jersey (Lightning)
5. July 12-13 New Jersey (Thunderbolt Majors)
6. August 23-24 PittRace (MARRS)
7. September 13-14 Watkins Glen (Fun One)
8. October 11-12 New Jersey (Thunderbolt)

This is what Spec Corvette is all about. Last weekend the competition was strong on the track but afterwards we all went to dinner together and walked around the coolest racing town in the world. Next race is July 13-14 at New Jersey Motorsports Park
