🔥 1972 C10 // Third Time’s the Charm 🔥

Some builds don’t need more parts… they need someone willing to spend the time to calibrate them properly. 👊

This truck had already been through two local tuners, but it still wasn’t right. Parts swapping and chasing numbers only gets you so far.

A good calibration isn’t about making one pull on the dyno or smoothing one table. It’s about making everything work together—cold starts, hot starts, idle quality, drivability, boost control, throttle response, transmission behavior, and WOT.

Now this C10 drives the way it should… and when those twin 68s come alive, it flat out gets after it. 😈💨

Sometimes the difference isn’t more horsepower… it’s finally getting the calibration the combination deserved.

⚫️ THIS AIN’T GRANDPA’S FARM TRUCK. ⚫️

At first glance, it looks like an old squarebody that hauled hay and fence posts for 40 years…

Until you hear it.

This 1983 C10 packs a 6.0L LS, 4L80E, and a Black Widow Angry Housewife dual in/dual out muffler that lets everyone within a few blocks know it’s not here to play nice.

And yes… it’s got the biggest shaft ever made. 😏

The goal wasn’t to build another trailer queen. It was to build a truck that starts every time, drives anywhere, and has enough attitude to make people question every stoplight they’re sitting at.

💻 Holley EFI calibrated from top to bottom.
⚡ Crisp throttle response.
🔥 Rowdy idle.
🚀 Shifts that hit.
😈 Street manners with zero apologies.

Old body.
Modern power.
Bad attitude.

Exactly how a squarebody should be. 🤘

🔥 NO BOOST. NO BOTTLE. JUST 1,200 HORSEPOWER. 🔥

This ’97 Firebird is the definition of all business.

Under the hood is a 648ci naturally aspirated Wilkerson Racing Engines engine making an incredible 1,200 horsepower.

🏁 Brodix aluminum block

🏎️ Hogan intake

I’ve already got one wedding band on my finger, and that’s enough for me. Race cars have a funny way of trying to give you a second one. Once you agree to tune one, you’re married to it until it’s perfect. Every little detail matters, and they’ll keep asking for more until every last issue is sorted.

This one was no different.

When you’re working with a 1,200 HP naturally aspirated combination, there are no shortcuts. The goal isn’t just to make power—it’s to make the car consistent, predictable, and repeatable every single pass.

Another serious combination dialed in by Turbo Joe’s Holley EFI Tuning. 👊💻

⚪️ 1968 CHEVROLET C10 — FINALLY TUNED THE WAY IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN FROM THE START. ⚪️

Sometimes the problem isn’t the parts…

It’s the calibration. 💻

This clean C10 had already been tuned multiple times, but it was never right. The drivability issues kept getting blamed on the combination instead of finding the actual problems.

What we found:

❌ Transmission line pressure was never properly configured, causing the truck to stall every time it was put into gear.

❌ Fuel pressure was dropping under load, but nobody had caught it. The factory rails and regulator simply couldn’t keep up with the combination.

Those issues don’t get fixed by changing VE tables or adding fuel…

They get fixed by taking the time to diagnose the whole combination.

Now it:
✅ Starts instantly
✅ Drops into gear without stalling
✅ Has proper transmission line pressure
✅ Maintains stable fuel pressure
✅ Drives the way it should from idle to full boost

A tune isn’t just about making horsepower.

It’s about understanding the entire package and fixing what everyone else overlooked.

🍊 TWIN TURBOS. STOCK BOTTOM END. ZERO MERCY. Orange🍊

This 1967 Camaro proves you don’t need an aftermarket short block to build a serious twin-turbo street car.

Running 18 psi on a stock bottom end doesn’t leave much room for error. That’s why every part of this Holley EFI calibration was built around safe ignition timing, precise fueling, clean drivability, and repeatable performance.

✅ Instant starts
✅ Clean idle
✅ Smooth cruising
✅ Predictable boost control
✅ Confidence when the throttle goes down

One small update… 😅

The owner let me know the 9-inch rear end lasted exactly one day after the tune was finished. Looks like we found the next weak link… because it definitely wasn’t the calibration. 💥😂

Power is built in the garage.

Reliability is built in the tune. 💻

🔥 FROM “GOOD ENOUGH”… TO ACTUALLY RIGHT. 🔥

Sometimes a vehicle starts, idles, and drives…

That doesn’t mean it’s tuned properly. 👀

This gorgeous slammed ’55 Chevy pickup came to me all the way from Australia 🇦🇺 after another remote tuner had already “finished” it.

The owner was living with:
❌ Raw fuel smell so bad on cold starts it burned your eyes.
❌ Black soot pouring from the exhaust after hot restarts.
❌ A truck that drove… but was never actually right.

Then I opened the calibration… 🤦‍♂️

Everywhere I looked, tables had been finger-molested in an attempt to lean the engine out. Fuel tables, compensations, startup fueling—you name it. Instead of fixing the root cause, the calibration had been hacked apart trying to make the wideband display a different number. 💻🚨

Here’s the thing…

Just because your O₂ sensor reads leaner doesn’t mean the engine is actually running leaner. ❗

It’s called an Air-Fuel Ratio for a reason.

If your stoichiometric value doesn’t match the fuel you’re actually burning, the ECU’s AFR display is nothing more than a lie. You’re chasing numbers instead of tuning the engine. A wideband can only calculate AFR correctly when the stoich value is set for the fuel in the tank. 📊⚙️

Once the calibration was corrected instead of patched:

✅ Stoich set correctly for the fuel being used
✅ Cold start fueling rebuilt
✅ Hot restart fueling fixed
✅ Startup enrichment corrected
✅ Fuel tables cleaned up
✅ Idle and cruise refined
✅ Smooth drivability restored
✅ No more eye-burning fuel smell
✅ No more embarrassing clouds of black soot 💨

This truck didn’t need another band-aid.

It needed someone to understand why it was doing what it was doing.

That’s the difference between changing numbers…

…and actually calibrating an EFI system. 💪🔥

⚫ Some builds don’t need an introduction⚫

Some cars scream for attention.

This one doesn’t have to.

A murdered-out ’67 SS/RS Camaro packing a 6.0L LS, Tremec TKX 5-speed, and a 12-bolt with 3.90s is the kind of combo that makes every on-ramp feel too short. 😈

The goal wasn’t to build a dyno queen—it was to make every key turn, every stoplight, and every gear change feel right.

💻 Complete Holley EFI calibration
🔥 Instant throttle response
⚙️ Clean idle
🚀 Smooth drivability
👊 Power you can actually use

A good tune isn’t something you notice…

Until you drive a car that doesn’t have one.

That’s the difference. 🖤

🔥 BIG BLOCK. 5-SPEED. MODERN EFI. 🔥

This ’65 Impala SS is the perfect mix of old-school muscle and modern drivability. 💪🇺🇸

Under the hood sits a Blueprint 498 BBC backed by a TKX 5-speed, controlled by a Holley Terminator X Stealth and Holley Hyperspark. After a complete remote calibration, this thing now fires instantly, idles clean, cruises smooth, and absolutely rips when you put your foot in it. 😈🚀

No surging.
No loading up.
No “good enough” self-learn tune.
Just a properly calibrated Holley EFI that lets this big block do exactly what it was built to do. 🔥

This is why I love tuning these classics—keeping the timeless look while making them drive like a modern performance car. 👊
