to be seen is to be loved, thanks for the shout Penza. I recently spotted with him and Nitro Motorsports for the last few ARCA road course races. I've seen him everywhere and he's done many jobs, doing this stuff helps your cross paths with great hard working people and Penza is one of them!!

Bugsy's Auto Repair is looking for a full-time helper to join our shop.

This is an entry-level position with room to grow and a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn a skilled trade. No professional experience is required. Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is a plus, but we're willing to teach someone who shows up ready to work and learn.

What you'll be doing:

Assisting mechanics and technicians
Truck teardown and reassembly
Sanding and bodywork prep
Assisting with welding and fabrication
Washing and cleaning trucks
Parts runs
Shop cleanup and organization
Helping wherever you're needed

We work primarily on heavy trucks, and because we're a small, family-owned shop, you'll get exposure to a little bit of everything — mechanical repair, welding, fabrication, bodywork and paint. You won't be stuck doing the same thing every day.

We're looking for someone who:

Shows up every day and on time
Isn't afraid to get dirty
Can listen and follow directions
Wants to learn
Can stay off their phone and stay busy
Has reliable transportation
Is at least 16 years old

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM
Starting Pay: $17.00/hour and up, depending on experience

This can become a career.

Both of our current department heads started at Bugsy's as helpers. We've also had helpers go on to become well-paid welders in the shipyard and construction industries.

If you put in the work and want to learn, this position can lead to becoming a full technician with us or give you hands-on experience that can open doors throughout the heavy-truck and skilled-trades industries.

Interested in racing?

This is also a unique opportunity for someone who wants to get involved in motorsports. You'll work full-time at Bugsy's Auto Repair, with opportunities to work with Mullins Racing and gain hands-on racing experience as well.

We're a small family shop. We work hard, stay busy, and do a huge variety of work. We're looking for someone who wants an opportunity to learn and isn't afraid to start at the bottom and work their way up.

some mid-season reflection: i am not the person that likes to have all my biz out there but we kinda do live in this kinda world, and for someone in my situation, it's more important to share not just for myself but for many others also on similar paths. this season has really sucked, i haven't performed how i wanted to, things haven't gone the way i wanted them to go, and life really hasn't taken its foot off my proverbial neck. alas i am either too stupid or too prideful to quit, and i'm willing to go through whatever because i think i am good at what i do, and i can help others to be better than i will ever be. even when i can't put my hans straps on correctly i'm glad to have great people around me that keep me sorta sane, and great therapy.

yes, i am looking for sponsorship to hopefully drive more, yes i am working on it, and yes i still have many jobs

all you can do is continue to give your best effort to the world and receive what it gives you in return.
