🐝 Carpenter bees did a number on these French doors, but they weren’t beyond saving!

These beautiful wood doors had several areas of deep damage from carpenter/wood bee activity, along with years of weathering and wear.

Rather than replacing the doors, we restored them:

🔨 Cleaned out the damaged and deteriorated wood
🪵 Stabilized the remaining soft wood with wood hardener
🛠️ Rebuilt and filled the damaged areas
🧰 Sanded the repairs flush and refinished both doors
🎨 Applied a Dark Walnut stain to restore the rich original appearance
✨ Finished everything with a clear protective exterior topcoat to help seal and protect the wood from the elements

A pretty dramatic difference from where we started, I’ll be posting a video soon of the whole process!

A client reached out the morning after a break-in needing the property secured as quickly as possible.

We got them taken care of right away by removing the damaged door, cleaning up the broken glass, installing a brand-new steel security door, and replacing the locks.

There’s never a good time for something like this to happen, but we’re glad we could help get the property secured and back to normal.

From outdated to custom curb appeal 👏

This entryway got a full front door transformation:

• Removed old exterior door & storm door
• Installed brand new exterior and storm door
• Hand-built custom craftsman style trim
• Built and detailed a custom header by hand
• Caulked, prepped, painted, and finished everything for a clean seamless look

The custom trim package completely changed the appearance of the home and gave the entryway a much more upscale, modern craftsman feel.

These are the kinds of projects I love — combining carpentry, finish work, painting, and attention to detail into one clean final product.
