Your fuse box may be small, but it’s the frontline defense for your vehicle’s most important systems. One blown fuse can stop everything. Here’s what the main fuses control—and what happens when they fail:
🔹 ECU / Engine Control (10A–20A) 🧠
Powers the vehicle’s computer. If it blows, the engine may not start, injectors won’t fire, and scanners won’t connect.
🔹 Fuel Pump (15A–20A) ⛽
Supplies power to the fuel pump. Failure can cause hard starts, stalling when warm, or low fuel pressure.
🔹 Fuel Injectors (10A–15A) 💉
Keeps injectors operating correctly. A blown fuse may cause cranking with no start or reduced engine power.
🔹 Ignition System (15A–20A) 🔥
Feeds coils and ignition modules. Problems here lead to misfires, no spark, or sudden shutdown.
🔹 MAF / MAP Sensors (5A–10A) 🧭
Maintains accurate air readings. Failure can cause rough idle, poor fuel economy, and sensor codes.
🔹 Main Relay (20A–30A) 🔌
Supplies power to multiple systems. If this fails, the vehicle may appear completely dead.
🔹 Cooling Fan (30A–40A) 🌡️
Controls radiator fans. A blown fuse risks overheating, especially in traffic.
🔹 Instrument Cluster (7.5A–10A) 💡
