December 7th is the LaSalle County Street Cars toy drive at the Illinois Valley Auto Group in Peru Illinois. This is also the day before my 57th birthday. I would love nothing more than to have everyone please bring me an unwrapped toy for my birthday present. Lets all help give some kids a Christmas they might not normally get.

Please Help Me!
It’s a long read I know, but this is important to me.
It’s that time of year again. The day before my 57th birthday I will be participating in the LaSalle County Toy Drive. Last year we were able to fill 12 pick up trucks with toys and provided a Christmas for literally hundreds of families. I was almost able to fill one myself due to the generosity of my friends. Please donate. This one is close to my heart. There were a few Christmases where we didn’t have funds for my kids to have presents. The generosity of others made sure my children didn’t know that disappointment. No child should. I will attach a Venmo link to the comments. I will also drive just about anywhere to pick up a donation.

I was able to drive my ‘32 for my first day back to work. I got a text message from one of my old coworkers in a different office building who said he heard me pull into to parking lot. I think I may have the exhaust tone just right now.

I took a step away from traditional hot rod today. I took out the bench seat and added a pair of C4 Corvette buckets. My back is much happier. Turns out I am an old hot rodder now.
