Little update on the Chevette:

We got ourselves a runner! šŸ’Ŗ This video was taken a few weeks ago actually ( August 15th ) just havenā€™t gotten around to posting it yet. Itā€™s not full on track ready but almost, we still have some minor things to change/dial in but weā€™re hoping to have it out for some testing the next points event @ NMD! Weā€™ve been wrenchinā€™ away on this any chance we get the time, Canā€™t wait to see it go down the track!

Jamey and Jaron (me) couldnā€™t make much happen on Saturday at the 14th Annual Blue Oval Battle. Both of us were knocked out in round 2 in Bracket 2 and Pro-Trophy, the truck was running off dial with the up and down weather that day.

At least we got some awesome pictures of the truck, it might be heavy but can still pull the front wheels haha! Still always a great time @ NMD! Looking forward to the next points race!

Scott Green in the Homegrown S-10 had a day on Saturday at the 14th Annual Blue Oval Battle this past weekend! He made it through some rounds in Bracket 2 and ended up in the Semi-Final round in Pro-Trophy! Top 4 out of 100+ entries in that class! šŸ’Ŗ

The truck had some small problems but thanks to the track family we were able to get it fixed and back out there!

Friday night at the 14th Annual Blue Oval Battle in the books! Thank god the rain went away for today!! Jamey went 3 rounds in bracket 2. Jaron (me) made it to the quarter final round (6) in pro trophy down to the final 6 racers.

Overall it was a great day of racing for us makinā€™ it through some rounds in both classes. The truck is running phenomenal & printing consistent slips!

Tomorrow is a new day, excited to get back out there and give it another swing!

Thereā€™s a new addition to the Harthun Racing fleet!!šŸ’Ŗ Jaron and Chayse picked up this hot rod last week Monday for a smokinā€™ deal, still canā€™t believe it! This is the reason why there wasnā€™t a follow up post from the last racešŸ˜…

Itā€™s technically a 76 Chevette but has a 84 front clip on it. Weā€™re gonna call it an 84 to avoid any confusionšŸ˜‚

A few specs of the car:
- 1984 Chevette Square Tube Chassis
- 355 Small Block Chevy 12.5 : 1
- Powerglide Transmission
- Ford 9 Inch Rear
- 4 Link Suspension
- 32ā€ x 14ā€ Tires in the back
- Coil Overs all around

One cool car with a cooler backstory. Weā€™re beyond excited to get it out to the track as soon as we can and see what itā€™s got!!

The Bottom Bulb Bash in the books! As a team we werenā€™t able to make too much happen this event but we still had a great time!

Hats off to the racers there, weā€™ve never seen so many dead on passes, double 0ā€™s, triple 0ā€™s and even a couple quad 0 lights in our life! šŸ˜‚

Looking forward to the next races coming up!
