Arkansas has officially banned “squatted” trucks—those vehicles with the front end jacked up and the rear end sagging like a dog with a bad back. Governor Sarah Sanders signed Senate Bill 411 into law on April 8, 2025, making it illegal to operate any vehicle on public roads where the front bumper is more than four inches higher than the rear bumper. This ban applies to all vehicles, including trucks, SUVs, and vans .

Penalties for Violations:
• First offense: $250 fine
• Second offense: $500 fine
• Third offense within 12 months: One-year driver’s license suspension

The law aims to enhance road safety by addressing concerns that squatted vehicles can impair driver visibility, misalign headlights, and compromise braking and steering capabilities. Arkansas joins states like North Carolina, Virginia, and South Carolina in implementing such bans .
