🚴‍♀️ Tour Da Yoop, Eh rolls into Iron Mountain tomorrow!



Cyclists from across the country are taking on a 1,200-mile journey around Michigan's Upper Peninsula, all while supporting bike safety and families battling childhood cancer.



Be sure to give these riders a warm U.P. welcome as they make their way through Iron Mountain. Their journey is about more than miles—it's about making a difference.

Federal ADA requirements supersede local ordinances, and the City will continue to accommodate the use of ADA-protected mobility devices.

The City of Marquette has enacted a new ordinance prohibiting the operation of bicycles, skateboards, and other human-powered or electric mobility devices on designated downtown sidewalks.

The ordinance applies to the following areas:

West Washington Street: Lakeshore Boulevard to Seventh Street
North Third Street: Fair Avenue to Baraga Avenue
South Front Street: Ridge Street to Baraga Avenue

The restriction includes both traditional and electric bicycles, electric and non-electric skateboards, and other wheeled mobility devices powered by human power or an electric motor of up to 750 watts.
