The Evo 5/6 transfer case and shafts for the shop build weighed in at 56 lbs! That's almost half of the total weight that's been stripped from the car so far, but sure to be well worth it.⁣
⁣
The SR is a fantastic platform, but their only transverse AWD 5-speed gearbox (from the GTI-R) is prone to case failures with higher horsepower. Adapting a stronger transmission was one of the many choices we made to ensure longevity and performance.
