It is with a heavy heart that we share this announcement. This is a post we never imagined we would have to write. Due to changes in life circumstances, we have made the difficult decision to officially close MinnWest Detailing’s doors to the public at the end of this 2026 year.
Seven years ago, MinnWest Detailing started with something simple: a home garage, a passion for detailing, and a willingness to work hard and for success.
What began in a home garage eventually grew into a shop of our own, where we were able to offer a wide range of services and serve countless customers throughout the years. But when we look back, what we will remember most isn’t the cars we detailed or the shop itself.
It’s the people.
The customers who trusted us with their vehicles, the people who came back year after year, and the referrals, recommendations, conversations, friendships, and relationships built along the way. You helped turn a small business that started in a garage into something we could truly be proud of.
MinnWest also gave us the opportunity to do more than run a business—it gave us a way to give back to the community that supported us.
We had the privilege of supporting the women’s Hmong flag football team over multiple of years and hosting two back-to-school giveaways to help students and families prepare for the school year. Those experiences will always be some of the most meaningful parts of this journey.
Behind these seven years were countless long days, late nights, sacrifices, challenges, and lessons. But there were also accomplishments, laughter, friendships, and memories that made every part of the journey worthwhile.
Closing these doors doesn’t erase what was built inside them.
From a home garage to a shop. From customers to friendships. From a small idea to seven years of memories.
To every person who trusted us, supported us, recommended us, encouraged us, or simply followed our journey—thank you for being part of the MinnWest Detailing story.
Although it’s bittersweet to say goodbye, we leave this chapter proud of what we built, grateful for the memories we made, and looking forward to whatever comes next.
Here’s to the next chapter. 💙
