This Rare custom bodied Cord L-29 is one of four 1930 L-29 Murphy Town car built, Only Long wheelbase to survive. The Murphy town car built four of that design-two with the extended 152.5" wheelbase (LWB), and two with the standard 137.5" wheelbase(SWB). The utilitarian luxury of the Chauffeur's compartment of this Stunning 1930 Cord L-29 Town Car. In the Golden Age of Hollywood, this was how Hollywood's royalty John Barrymore traveled - looking closely at the dashboard notice that chrome rod protruding straight out of the center console-that is the Cord unique rare dashboard front-wheel-drive gear shifter, which you push, pull, twist to shift gears.
