What happens when a 12 gauge rifled slug hits a curved car windshield before reaching a ballistics dummy? We fired through the front windshield of a Toyota Corolla from 25 feet to test shotgun slug pe*******on, accuracy, point of aim versus point of impact, and bullet expansion. The windshield may have slowed the slug, but the final impact and recovered projectile were still impressive. This AR-10 .308 hunting rifle is still getting broken in, and today’s short range test raised one big question: did the suppressor move my point of impact? We were only at about 45 yards, the rifle was hitting low, and with .308 ammo costing too much to waste, I had just three rounds left for three bottles. The SIG Sauer 1911-XFULL faces a real Wi******er Defender .45 ACP hollow-point test against a ballistic dummy and gel.
