Whether he’s leading a team, coaching from the dugout, or teeing it up in 120-degree Arizona heat, George knows a thing or two about staying in the game. ⚾⛳

George is our Operations Manager at Vac2Go’s Arizona branch. Originally from Decatur, Alabama, he has spent most of his life in Arizona and brings experience from several different industries to his role at Vac2Go.

His work ethic started early. At just 12 years old, George got his first job bussing tables at a locally owned breakfast restaurant in Tucson. Since then, his career has taken him through food service, retail, pools and spas, industrial laundry, sanitation, and now Vac2Go.
Outside of work, family takes center stage. George and his wife, Brittany, have been together for 14 years and have three children—Talon, Braxton, and Hadley Mae. You’ll often find him coaching his kids’ Little League teams, teaching his daughter to golf, or sitting by a backyard fire while the kids and their four dogs run around.
Sports have always been a big part of George’s life. Growing up, his dream was to play baseball for the Atlanta Braves. These days, golf has become one of his favorite ways to spend an afternoon, even when Arizona temperatures hit 120 degrees. His dream trip? Taking the family to Scotland to explore the countryside, experience the local culture, and, of course, sneak in a few rounds of golf. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 And here’s something his team may not know: while playing baseball in high school, George spent his free weekends modeling for a local tuxedo shop at fashion events around Tucson.

When asked about the best advice he’s ever received, George shared something that has stuck with him: “Check your ego at the door. Be humble, be confident, not cocky. Be willing to help others to their benefit, not yours.”
That’s a mindset we’re glad to have leading our Arizona operations.

From the corporate office to the baseball field, Lauren Smith stays pretty busy. ⚾☕
Lauren is our Accounts Payable Specialist at Vac2Go’s corporate office in Kentucky and a Louisville native through and through. She was born and raised in Louisville, graduated from the University of Louisville with a bachelor’s degree in Communications, and now calls nearby La Grange home.
Most importantly, Lauren is the proud mom of two, a 10-year-old daughter and 9-year-old son. These days, she’s also fully embracing life as a baseball mom, spending plenty of evenings and weekends at practices and games and serving as the unofficial carrier of baseball bags and sweaty uniforms.
When she gets some time to herself, Lauren loves glamping, golfing, curling up with a good book, and spending time with her German Shepherd, Randi Savage. And yes, wrestling fans usually appreciate the name immediately.
One fun fact you probably wouldn’t guess? Lauren went to school with Jennifer Lawrence. They were in band and cheerleading together and were close enough to have sleepovers at each other’s houses.
Lauren also has a longtime dream she hasn’t given up on. Her first job was at a local women’s boutique, where she worked for 12 years, and she still hopes to own a boutique of her own someday.
Her dream weekend is a toss-up between a road trip across the U.S. and a trip to Italy, and wherever she ends up, there’s a pretty good chance coffee will be involved. According to Lauren, her drink of choice is “100% coffee.” ☕
We’re lucky to have Lauren as part of Team Vac2Go and appreciate everything she does to help keep things running behind the scenes!

Jeffrey Vannoy’s connection to the trucking industry started before he could even walk. In fact, he was born in the sleeper cab of an 18-wheeler.

Today, Jeffrey is one of the mechanics helping keep things moving at our Kentucky branch.
Growing up in the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia, Jeffrey’s dad owned a trucking company. When his mom couldn’t make it to the hospital in time, Jeffrey made his entrance into the world right there in his dad’s truck.
“I guess you could say I was born for this industry.”

Jeffrey went on to serve in the Army before eventually making Kentucky home. He and his wife have now been married for 38 years, and they’re proud parents of four children, a daughter who is a doctor and three sons who serve in the military.
When he’s not turning wrenches at Vac2Go, you might find Jeffrey riding his motorcycle, fishing, hiking, building something out of wood or steel, or hanging out with his four dogs, including a 138-pound Cane Corso. His latest project? Building and selling birdhouses.

And what does Jeffrey say about working at Vac2Go?
“It’s hands down one of the best places I’ve ever worked. The people, the culture, and getting to be part of an industry that’s been part of my story since day one makes it a great place to call home.”
