Mark Williams Enterprises manufactures a full range of racing axles, spools, rear end housings, steel, aluminum or carbon fiber driveshafts and disc brake kits. M-W also makes an assortment of chassis and driveline components at its Denver-area facility. All the parts required to set up 9” Ford, 12-bolt Chevy, 8.8 Ford, 8-3/4 Mopar and Dana 60 rear ends, including ring & pinion gears, Detroit Lockers, Posi-Traction differentials, and bearings are in stock at Mark Williams Enterprises. At Mark Williams, we offer a huge variety of spline options when it comes to custom axles! One of the greatest misconceptions is that we have only our own spline style axles. Everyday we make standard 28 thru 40 spline axles that are compatible with all different brands of differentials and spools. In fact our only unique spline is our 35 spline Mark Williams pressure angle, however we also make a standard 35 spline standard or also referred to as a “Dana spline”.

We also keep a large selection of in-stock spools, Posi Traction units, Detroit Lockers, and Truetracs. Not only can we produce our own specialized splines, but we can also machine a wide variety of existing spline configurations to fit your application. With all operations done in house, we have the capabilities to build a set of axles for just about any rear end in your hot rod in 7-10 days from the date of order! We are cranking out these Late Big Ford housing ends! We machine these housing ends from a heat treated 4130 forging for a stronger, more durable component. With so many modern race rear ends being built with 4130 chromoly tubing, maintaining that strength all the way through the housing end is crucial to building a strong, reliable rear end. During the machining process, our housing ends are bored with a very slight taper. This allows the housing end to distort slightly, but not get tight on the bearing. Our housing ends are also slightly longer than others on the market, allowing for an inboard seal and helping ensure weld distortion never affects the bearing diameter. These details matter when you’re building a high performance rear end. Why risk using mild steel in a high load application? This rear is the answer to the calls we have been getting for years. Our new brackets features fine adjustment hole pattern for upper and 4 link bars with doublers, adjustable shock mounts, and wishbone upper or lower options as well as built in anti rollbar locations. This bracketry is perfect for today’s modern radial or slick tire needs and with the Modular rear you can quickly change between slick or radial tire rear end width and tire/wheel offset by unbolting spacers and changing them and floater axles. Next Motorsports Race Cars set the world on fire last week showing some times from testing at US60 with their radial twin turbo Corvette! They’re running a Mark Williams modular housing, axles, and floater with Hammer B Hamm bracketry and laid down a 3.43@228mph! Congrats guys, can’t wait to see this car back in competition!

Another batch of our 9” Thru Bolt cases coming off the machines! These cases are cast, machined, and assembled right here in the USA. They start as a high strength A206 aluminum casting and are precision machined in house into one of the strongest 9” housings on the market. The pinion pilot bearing bore utilizes an extra long bearing that is completely captive and retained with screws. These cases also feature clearance for 9”, 9.5”, and 10” gear sets, giving you the flexibility to run the gear set that best fits your combination. These cases have truly become the standard in championship caliber drag race cars!

We’ve been pumping out these Thru-Bolt Ford 9” third members! This particular unit is set up with a lightened 6.00 gear set, 40 spline lightweight 4140 steel spool, 7075 aluminum tapered/ball pinion support, and a 1350 series Extreme Duty 4340 steel pinion yoke. Last week at Hot Rod Drag Week, Nick Rinehart and co pilot Evan Uerkwitz took home 1st place in the Pro Street Power Adder category in Nick’s beautiful Mark Williams equipped, 6 second 67 Nova! During the week at Cordova, they laid down an 6.786 at 211.99 MPH and finished the week with an 7.174 average! Congratulations to Nick and Evan on an awesome week on some tough race track conditions! We’re proud to have them representing and rocking the Mark Williams brand!
