Gipe Auto Color seeks an experienced sales professional to help grow our commercial and industrial coatings business while continuing to support and strengthen our current customer relationships.
The Fleet & Industrial Paint Sales Representative is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with commercial fleet operators, industrial manufacturers, body shops, municipalities, contractors, and other industrial customers. This role focuses on growing sales of industrial coatings, fleet refinishing products, paint systems, and related supplies through prospecting, account management, technical support, and customer service.
The ideal candidate will have proven sales experience and strong product knowledge of PPG Commercial Coatings, including PPG Delfleet commercial coatings, fleet refinishing systems, direct gloss systems, basecoat/clearcoat systems, primers, sealers, topcoats, clearcoats, reducers, hardeners, and related commercial vehicle refinish products.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned territories.
Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue and gross profit goals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with fleet managers, body shop owners, purchasing agents, contractors, and industrial facility managers.
Conduct regular customer visits to assess needs and recommend coating solutions.
Prepare and present product demonstrations, proposals, and pricing packages.
Generate leads through networking, referrals, cold calling, and industry events.
Customer Support & Technical Consultation
Recommend appropriate paint, coating, and finishing systems based on customer requirements.
Provide technical guidance on product application, surface preparation, and troubleshooting.
Assist customers with color matching, coating specifications, and product selection.
Coordinate with manufacturers and technical representatives to resolve customer concerns.
Account Management
Maintain and grow existing customer accounts through regular follow-up and service.
Monitor customer purchasing trends and identify opportunities for additional product sales.
Ensure customer satisfaction and retention through proactive communication.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and inventory availability.
Market & Industry Knowledge
Stay informed on industry trends, competitor products, and market conditions.
Maintain knowledge of fleet refinishing, industrial coatings, corrosion protection, and related technologies.
Participate in product training and manufacturer certification programs.
Administrative Duties
Maintain accurate customer records and sales activities in CRM systems.
Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and territory plans.
Manage expense reports and travel schedules.
Assist with inventory planning and promotional activities as needed.

High School Diploma or equivalent
Industrial paint: 2 years (Required)
