Check out this super cute 1951 VW split window Beetle! It stopped running in the 80’s and got parked in the corner of the shop… until they aimed me at it. This definitely needed some effort but today I took it for its first test drive in decades!!!!
Still a bunch to do but what a win 👍

OK, it’s 1965 and you have the keys to both of these in your hand… Which do you take for a rip?
The mechanical comparison between these two is fairly lopsided since the Cobra is a no expense spared Kirkham build with a stroked all aluminum Shelby 427 and the Corvette has a stock 327… BUT just look at these gorgeous vehicles!
I’ve been fortunate to turn some wrenches on this Cobra for a friend and it has been a pleasure to work on and even more fun to test drive!

I’ve enjoyed my time hiding in the background over the past couple of years and feel like it might be time to try and step into the better light… looking forward to this new year.
Anybody watching season 2 of Fallout? If you look closely during the segments featuring the brotherhood of steel… you might just catch a glimpse of your old pal jeepin jason as one of the clerics. They did let me actually load up the cold fusion reactor and flip the switches 😬

I’m doing “influencer” things tonight and it is completely awesome!
The featured vehicle is the all electric 650 horsepower SUV… and it is officially a trail rated rig.
The Recon is surprisingly capable looking and some of the things that stand out to me (as a person that has broken multiple IFS components on the trails) is the attention to detail on that specific area. The front suspension, half shaft axles and steering components are extremely well thought out. Notice the steering and sway bar links are behind the control arms. I actually want to drive one!
On a personal note… that first selfie was my highlight of the evening with world famous trail boss Nena of
I’ve had the privilege of being on a trip lead by her and was “that guy” who broke my junk and held the whole group up. She came back in the pack to help me make the repair in the most calm and reassuring way. I will always be in awe of the skill and knowledge she has!

This is me using the force to try and unstuck my Jeep from these rocks 🧟‍♂️
I finally got into the dirt for some jeepers education and the rig performed amazing! I, on the other hand, need some practice but this is a great start.
First time out with all the new longarm suspension went perfect… I even put the and to the test with some really poor line choices and they shrugged it off like it was nothing!
Getting a little dirt therapy was great and hope for more this winter.

I was a little nervous about changing lights on the front of the truck but I think the LED upgrade looks good enough and is a lot more practical than before.
Kind of an interesting mix of parts got used in this one… fog lights and the amber XLR80’s (which are brighter than all four of the old lights combined 🔆😬) … a couple of harbor freight specials and an old set of ovals to round out the lumen export… a mini 6 switch block and the best BIG deep cycle battery for any rig, the DH7!

Yikes! Had a close call with this flying chunk of metal and my face shield offered absolutely no protection… Mostly because it was lying on the ground next to me 😬 Got lucky on that one.
Did another awesome Jeep upgrade and bolted on some long arms to the front!!!
Did a pretty comprehensive video on the process and I even share my tips and tricks on keeping your vehicle under-bits looking fresh! All my secrets revealed 😂
Feels great to keep improving this rig and I hope to actually get it into the dirt again soon.

Looky here… two videos in two weeks! 🤘 Yay for me 😂 Feels pretty good.
This time I get a chance to check out the brand new QH6 Lithium Orange Top. It’s kind of a mind scramble to get so much power and only weigh 20 lbs. My back was extremely grateful 😉
The more I learn about the tech and time I spend with this thing has only made me like it more.
Oh, and the last pic if you make it that far… is a silly selfie of me in a firefighter outfit from work last week. Yes, thank goodness that has been picking up slightly as well.

I had a rough first week with the truck back home. While running errands, the a/c compressor seized and took out the serpentine belt. The thing overheated pretty hard before getting to a safe space to pull over. After getting it home, I stuffed a new compressor and belt in and it starts and sounds ok… whew 😰
This will make for a very expensive welcome home but after all that… I’m still very happy to have it in the driveway.
I produced my first video in a long time on the adventure so if you get a moment, could you please give it a watch? As I was editing this video and going through old footage… it was VERY easy to see why I’m so emotionally invested in this thing… because I did all the upgrades in the side yard, Pinto the Dog features in just about every one ❤️🐕 So there’s that strong connection in a good way.

Vintage Trans Am race cars getting prepped for the event at Laguna Seca in a few weeks. The ‘68 Penske Camaro gets new racing rubber and re-geared from the last race at Sebring since Laguna is a much slower top speed track. I love the Trans Am Mustangs in this shop as well!
