New 2024 Ford GT! What are your thoughts? Read our CBLA Blog on it here:
'The 2024 Ford Mustang GT comes with some noteworthy updates, especially in its design and performance. The new sheet metal gives the car a fresh and modern look, blending elements from classic Mustangs and more recent models. The GT now boasts a 5.0-liter Coyote V-8 engine with enhancements, resulting in 480 hp and 415 lb-ft of torque. Opting for the active exhaust system bumps the figures up to 486 hp and 418 lb-ft of torque. A 10-speed automatic transmission or a six-speed manual (with the no-lift-shift feature) are available options for GT shoppers.
Despite not undergoing significant changes to its powertrain, the 2024 Mustang GT impresses with its improved steering and chassis tuning. The car now feels more balanced and composed, handling bends with confidence and poise. The 10-speed automatic performs flawlessly, responding to the driver's style, while the six-speed manual remains a treat to work with, delivering short and mechanical shifts.
The convertible version of the Mustang GT, while enjoyable, doesn't match the coupe's performance due to added weight, resulting in a harsher ride and some cowl shake on rough roads.
Inside the Mustang, you'll find a new dual-screen, driver-focused cabin, featuring crisp and clear digital instrument clusters and infotainment displays. The cabin design departs from the older Mustangs' dual-cockpit arrangement but provides an easy-to-navigate layout for the driver. The interior space is roomy, offering better build quality than its competitors.
The starting price for the 2024 Mustang GT is $44,090, with the GT Premium starting at $48,610 for the fastback and $54,110 for the convertible. The Mustang Dark Horse, priced at $60,865, is expected to set new performance standards for the GT line.'
