Unhooking your car battery and touching cables together for 15min doesn’t reset your car’s computer. . In fact in some of the newer vehicles it can damage other things!

Like this Z-Fuse on a 2021 Jeep. . Customer unhooked battery cables and hooked cables together trying to do a computer reset they seen on youtube and blew the #2 main fuse on this Fuse Z Clip. . . Had it towed here and 450.00 dollars later this was the issue.

The actual real problem was the Auxiliary Battery under the main battery hidden in passenger fender well for the engine start stop had went bad causing vehicle to go into limp mode. . They thought they could try reset the computer. Didn’t work just cause more issues.

On mid 90s to early 2000 this may work on the older style computers or cars but on late models this doesn’t work.

When that grid heater bolt breaks on a RAM 6.7 Cummins it’s catastrophic.
