Second video from NORC, this was my Co-Driver and car owner going Northbound through The Narrows. The scofflaws we saw in the Southbound video have already been removed in their chrome bracelets so only the HAM operator remains. :-)

At the autocross last weekend the rear axle started popping and banging when I drove around corners, especially noticable in the pits, somehow I couldn't hear it under full throttle. 😆😆😆

I suspected the spiders were broke and could locate any replacements, and I didn't want to replace the differential yet, fortunately that wasn't the case.

Finally getting this thing pieced back together. Added a triangulation to the alternator bracket to keep it from shaking, which is what caused the bolt breakfast in the first place. Had to make a new spacer for the bolt at the water pump too since that one got lost when that bolt broke. I'm going to weld the spacer on and triangulate it as well to reduce the bending load on that bolt. And as long as I was in there I dropped in a new water pump too replace the leaky one.

I usually don't wear gloves when using cut off wheels and such, glad that for some reason I decided to today. Even with the guard I caught most of the shrapnel in the knuckle. Gloves saved.

Got the front dress off and as suspected, the broken bolt that went through the water pump was sticking out so no problem, the one in the head is broke off below the surface. Waiting for some reverse rotation drill bits to show up tomorrow and we'll get it out. At least for the front of the engine cleaned up and got the block and radiator flushed out. I don't know what the engine builder left in the block, but the coolant looked like mud almost immediately.
