It’s that time of the year I need to remind our customers that our girls like to play outside, and may run up to the garage at times. Which means you need to drive slow down the drive way. I have been seeing more cars speeding down to the garage lately. Please pay attention to the little girls when they are out. Thank you for your understanding!

It’s getting warm out for a change!

The top myth that needs to be addressed for A/C systems is “topping off”. You do not experience lack off cooling inside your vehicle until your vehicle as lost aprox. 40% of they system charge and your vehicle can loose more then half it’s oiling capacity with in that percentage. That could lead to compressor and system damage. Your A/C system relays on refrigerant volume to move oil through out the system for lubrication. When you top off your system you have no way to measure the amount that is still in the system or how much you’re adding. Also going off a pressure reading on one side of the system isn’t very accurate to diagnose how they system is performing. The proper way to service your system is to recover the system, vacuum to remove contamination such as air and moisture, and recharge system to factory specifications.

Did you know: A/C fittings have a ASE acceptable leakage rate of 1/4 oz per year and some vehicles can have as little as .9lbs of refrigerant!
