After careful consideration, and discussion with my wife, I have decided my current customer backlog and my friend needing me to help him through a rough time, I have submitted my request for cancellation of the vendor spots at the Olds Nationals.

I feel as though adding the burden of trying to push to get things ready for Nationals will simply take away from the time I should be using for customer carbs already in my possession, and take the time I need to navigate helping my friend set up a Celebration of Life. I can't do it all from across the country.

It already bothers me that I can't get carbs done in a timely manner in the first place, and the push for Nationals isn't worth my stress. I wanted to go, I don't NEED to go.

I'm at peace with this decision. Anyone I have told I will have. Carbs done by Nationals (or T shirts), I'll have them done before Nationals, and just ship as usual.

Any product or swag I have put aside for the event will be posted here and there, but not a priority.

I know you guys/gals understand, but I'm thanking you all anyway.

Due to current events and the need to shift some time to help my friend, I am considering not going to Nationals. I am unsure I can get everything prepared in the short two months ahead to make the event worth the efforts and expense to get there. I'm not willing to go with just a table full of Tshirts and Tumblers when that is not my purpose.

I have to put real product on the tables; finished ready to bolt on Qjets, carb kits, fuel lines, bolt kits and other things that I produce or currently in production. At this point there is a mere fraction of what I want to bring.

Another thought is potentially loading up items from Classic Olds (Clemmons NC) in a preorder scenario, and some of his stock. Of course Jim would give me commission on sales, but it still wouldn't be MY brand or products.

I have to decide this by June 1 or I won't be able to return the vending spots and would have to "lease" them (at the same cost of course) or lose my $$.

Just preponderance at this very moment but it's weighing on me.

Olds-Motion will be closed for a short period of time to tend to some unexpected personal matters. I will answer messages and texts as I can, I will be traveling all day tomorrow ( May 19).

I am fine, my immediate family is fine, I have a very close friend in dire need and he called on me.

I'm going. This is NOT a vacation.

I will resume operations as soon as I am able.

T-shirt shipping is delayed by a day or two due to my error in ordering the incorrect size shipping packaging. I was going to pack them today, ship tomorrow, but that's not happening. The correct size is scheduled to be here tomorrow, but most likely Tuesday, pushing shipment to Wednesday.

My apologies. Kinda new at this T-shirt thing. Give me a carb or car part and it's not an issue. 🤣😂

EDIT: This particular part may had been adapted to be used on one of NINETEEN ever assembled.

EDIT #2: THE Answer was revealed in the comments. 1981 Yenko Camaro. One of 19 assembled. The least amount of any Yenko in the history of Yenko.

On todays episode of "WHAT IN THE EVER LOVING HELL DID I MISS NOW??"

Had a carb here that I couldn't get to idle below 1000. Grabbed the secondary throttle lever and forced it forward, lowering the RPM. Typically this is from a twisted shaft. I usually find that during assembly, sometimes it's too subtle. So I changed it. Twice.

Turns out if the throttle blades themselves are bent, it's gonna act the same as a twisted shaft.

For context on the pic, when you lay the blades (primary or secondary) on top of each other there will be no gap. I got complacent and didn't check these on assembly. And this is how it reminds me.

So put that in your build checklist fellas!

Anyone want a T shirt? I'm getting a batch done for Nationals, but if I sold a few along the way, it wouldn't hurt my feelings. Can buy and ship once shirts are done this coming weekend or take pre orders to pick up at Olds Nationals. Trying to stick to Black, Grey, Blue and Red. 100% heavy cotton Gildan T shirts. Logo will be placed across the back shoulders. Nothing on the front.

Preorders of any color (Yellow, Orange, Greens available in Slime, Kermit or Sage, Purple, Pink, White) will require prepayment so I can buy the shirt.

Flat $30 shipped in the lower 48 for any size up to 3X, $25 at the show.

I have a 1972 Olds W30 carb here in my possession that the customer is considering selling after I restore it. 7042953 is the number. It's a very rare unit, more rare than the 1970 W30 units.

Anyone that knows what this is and is SERIOUSLY interested, send a PM. Seller has a number in mind that will only be discussed privately. I am doing the restoration and will carry my warranty.
