🏆 BEAVER BLAST RECAP 🏆
What a weekend at Beaver Springs Dragway
We came into Beaver Blast with Rieley having two championships to defend from last year — Jr. Dragster and ATV. He managed to keep one of those titles right where it belongs!
🏁 JR. DRAGSTER — WINNER & BACK-TO-BACK CHAMP! 🏆🏆
Rieley successfully defended his Beaver Blast Jr. Dragster title and got it done for the second year in a row!
Coming into the weekend as the defending champ puts a little extra pressure on you, but he did what he needed to do round after round and put 166X back in the winner’s circle.
🏁 ATV — DEFENDING CHAMP
Rieley was also defending his Beaver Blast ATV championship from last year. Unfortunately, that title defense ended in Round 2 this year. We would’ve loved to bring both championships home again, but that’s racing.
🥈 PIT VEHICLES — RUNNER-UP
Rieley absolutely killed it on the tree in the pit vehicle race, dropping multiple .00x lights on his way through the rounds and into the final!
He came up just short of another win, but a runner-up after stacking .00 lights all day is still one hell of a showing.
Then Dad got a chance to show the kids he still knows how to get it done too. 😂
A huge thank you to Ward Racing for letting me jump into Hunter’s 1888 Jr. for the Jr. Parents Race.
I had never made a pass in a Jr. Dragster before, so we went up for a test hit and I managed a .025 light on my very first pass.
Then it was time to race.
I lined up against Dave Ward and we both went red. I was -.004 and Dave was just a smidge worse at -.040, so somehow I survived that one and moved on. 😂
That put us into the final, with Rieley and Hunter as my crew chiefs and starting-line crew.
Apparently the kids had Dad tuned up pretty good, because when it mattered we went .005 GREEN in the final and brought home the win! 🏆
Not gonna lie… it felt pretty good showing these kids that Dad can still wheel one when they give him a chance. 😂
And that win kept a pretty cool streak going for Ward Racing — the 1888 car has now found the winner’s circle the last three weekends it has been out racing! Glad I could do my part to keep the streak alive!
