🍁🎃🍂Join us for this fun, family friendly, FREE event @ the Laverne Ag Barn!!

We have made some adjustments to our list of events for next Saturday! Due to some scheduling conflicts, we are trading out the food truck wars for Touch-A-Truck!! (We will still have food vendors.)

Bring your kids out to climb and explore on a variety of big ”trucks” and check out the car show from 3:00-5:00 followed by the FFA fall festival games from 5:00-7:00, the FFA costume contest at 6:30, and live music from 6:00-9:00!!

The First Annual Laverne Area Chamber of Commerce 4th of July Hot Wing Eating Contest is in the books.
We'd like to thank our Co-Sponsor McKinley’s for providing and cooking the wings. We'd like to thank the brave souls who entered.

They had to eat 10 wings, 1 at a time with varying degrees of heat. #1 being 1800 Scoville units - #10 was 2 million+ Scoville units.
The contest went down to a tie breaker between Trey, Fernando and Sammy. They had to finish fastest, eating a wing that was 3 million Scoville units called RISE AND DIE... it was close between Fernando and Sammy, with Fernando winning. He left nothing but 2 bare bones. The last man standing won $200.00 and the honor of being the first survivor. We hope to see Fernando back next year to defend his title.
