English Creek Speedway - 6/26/26

Qualifying: 2nd
Heat: 1st -> 1st
Feature: 2nd -> 5th

The night was going really well, highest qualifying we have had and won our heat race starting us on the front row in the A. Unfortunately we didn’t make the right adjustments, kart got tight, and our starts / re-starts were not the best. Spun on our own 3/4 laps in and had to go to the tail; proud of Ryker as he didn’t give up and drove his way back to a top 5 contending for 4th multiple times. Even though it wasn’t the finish we wanted, it was an awesome race to watch as the kids battled for their positions, exchanging spots each corner, and going into the corner 3 wide multiple times.

Overall, we learned a lot and have improved every time we have been to English Creek this year, which is the goal. We will be back in a few weeks to continue improving and trying to find that podium 💪.

AJC Ironman at University Plains Speedway in Brookings, SD: 6/19/26 - 6/20/26

6/19/26:
BP Wing:

A Feature: 2nd -> 2nd

Blue Plate Wing:
Qualifying: 3rd
Heat: 3rd -> 2nd
A Feature: 2nd -> 2nd

BP Wing Ironman:
Heat: 6th -> 1st
40 Lap A Feature: 1st -> 1st

Dad found a couple little issues with both karts that we got fixed on the BP before the Ironman race and on the Blue Plate for the next day.

6/20/26:
BP Wing:
Qualifying: 1st

A Feature: 1st -> 1st

Qualifying: 2nd
Heat: 2nd -> 1st

Had a blast all weekend, racing was excellent with quite a few battles and lead changes in some of them. Huge congrats to Re*****on Kipka on your 1st BP Wing win over the weekend!

Maxxis Newton Kart Klub 6/12/26 - 6/13/26

6/12/26: Practice
Decided to spend some time testing some additional things with the motors and making sure we were good to go.

6/13/26:
BP Prelude Qualifying: 1st
BP Pro Qualifying: 1st
BP Pro Feature: 1st -> 1st
BP Prelude Feature: Rain out

Maxxis switched up the running order with the rain coming and going, so we were able to get the Pro Feature in, but us and many others ended up getting rained out on the additional features.

Dad found out why the air gauge has been acting up; apparently him and papa like to have competitions with it 🙄.

Ryker got a kick out of seeing his old style kart (Sr. Champs) running up at Newton, even though in Nebraska they are ran significantly different.

Thunder Hill Spring Chicken 5/14/26 - 5/16/26

Adding to our interesting start to the season with motor issues, heading up to Thunder Hill for our first time ever on 5/14/26 our truck motor blew up going through Albert Lea, MN. Ended up missing Thursdays practice but thankfully was able make it to the track in time on Friday.

Heat: 3rd -> 2nd
A Feature: 8th -> 7th

Decided to swap motors to see if that was our problem as we were just out of ideas.

Qualifying: 3rd
Heat: 1st -> 1st

Outside of our truck motor blowing up and being a day late, we had an awesome time up at Thunder Hill and will definitely be going back.

Fly high buddy!

Never will forget Zane and Ryker chasing around some huge nasty looking bug by our trailer at Eagle, both absolutely determined to catch it in a bottle, screaming hysterically anytime it jumped at them. Definitely was never a dull moment when the two of them were together!

Although we didn’t race at Eagle this year, Ryker looked forward to seeing his buddy anytime we were able to go hangout and watch. Zane’s big smile and joyful personality will truly be missed.
