Our national engine part supplier had a contest asking for engine pictures…
I grabbed one from my security camera and sent it in not expecting to hear back knowing 100’s would be sent in.
I got a email yesterday saying my picture won.
I couldn’t remember what I sent so just now looked up the contest and found this.

Google…. 😡
I have been very fortunate to have a work load that has always kept the shop busy without a lot of advertisement. Believing word of mouth works best and then take care of your customers the best you can.
My battle with Google is they don’t understand im not looking for massive interruptions with people calling and prefer staying on the down low putting out work on a timely manner.
A couple years ago their calls got relentless for us to claim our Google account. We didn’t have a google account was my answer and hang up. Come to find out like they said every business is given a google account you cant stop that. Then they start calling daily wanting you to claim it. Shame on you if you agree you own that business because then the phone calls pound you on setting it up with all your information only to find out the calls will never stop.
A couple years ago the phone calls were coming in a couple times a day and so I took the time to ask what will it take to get them stopped. I was told all I have to do is pay $200 to claim the account.  I said like a ransom? They said I don’t like to think of it like that but a severe instead.
At that time I told them the only way I will pay the ransom is if they guarantee they don’t put my phone number on it and they never call again.
I should have gotten it voice recorded or in writing because the phone calls have started up again.
It starts with your google listing isnt up to date and missing important information.
As always I explain in the nicest way I can I don’t want their help with people finding our business.
The bright side is this makes me realize just how blessed our business has been.
Thank you to the many customers that have let us be apart of your engine work and forgive me if you catch me shortly after dealing with Google or the credit card service calls that interrupt our day. 👍🥸

The last engine of 2025 just left the building.
We would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year.
BTW it was good enough I believe we will take the first day of the new year off and worry about catching up next year. 🎉

🤬While fixing a water leak down the street they cut our power line. Might be late afternoon before we have power and phone working. 😕
Not to mention we had six engines dropped off this past week no time for this. 🤯
