The sea trial for the 27’ Miss Sabalo went off without a hitch. We checked both transducers, which read great while running, calibrated the auto pilot and fired up the STORM satellite terminal, the military grade StarLink terminal made by another one of my companies called CopaSAT.

With 1/2 tank fuel and 4 people aboard, and as soon as the boat popped on plane at about 3300 rpm, fuel consumption was roughly 3 miles per gallon and stayed that way up to 5000 rpm. We will do a lot more testing after we finish the build.

NEXT: The cushions and Marine Mat installs are happening any day. A Power Pole 96” trolling motor is being installed with a Swivel Mount. And, we picked the mounting level for both dive platforms. Eisenglass will come soon to provide a little relief from weather.

I had some time off from INDY NXT car tests after the Indy test this past week and before Barber Motorsports on November 10…So Dad and I went fishing in Tampa Bay today with Sabalo Boats Captain Matt Santiago Sportfishing on his Sabalo 27 when we caught this Gag. We had a second hit with a bigger fish that ran and then rocked deep under a ledge. Quick Picture and Released to catch again when in season.
