Hi my name is Akira and I am a 4 month old American Akita puppy looking for my furever home! I was rescued from a homeless couple by the beach and I love to go to the park and practice my new tricks my foster mom has taught me. I am very friendly with dogs, people and cats! I am looking for an experienced dog owner to be my new pet parent. I need a home who is familiar with my breed as I require lots of grooming, training, and socialization to become the best balanced dog I can be!

Poor Cobra has been in foster care for over 500 days. Maybe you guys could share this post and help find him a home?

Cobra is about 4 years old. He's medium energy. Foster mom doesn't even have to crate him when she's at work! He loves to snuggle up with his people. He's truly such a sweet and goofy boy. Cobra needs a moment to warm up to new men, but he does become friends very quickly! He loves to play with tennis balls and he's pretty good on the leash! Cobra came to us from a horrific neglect situation and he has blossomed since being in our care!

Luna needs a fenced in yard and another dog. Luna is a smart, speed racer. She has discovered the freedom of running free in a fenced yard and races around any chance she gets. She also enjoys her furry foster brother so would love to be in a home with another dog she can play chase and tug of war. She is a shadow to her foster mom but does wonderful in her crate when it's time to chill. Luna is a little nervous around adult men so needs a little time to warm up to males. This 15 pound cutie,who still has some growing to do, does well on her leash but thrives in a fenced yard since daily laps have become her routine. She is spayed , up to date with shots, heartworm negative,with lots of puppy energy. Luna is about 8-9 months comes when called, knows sit and does great with potty training and sleeps through the night in her crate. Although we have no idea her breed background, she loves to play fetch, retrieves balls and Frisbees like a pro. If you are looking for your shadow, this sweetheart will be a lovely addition to your family.

"Today I went to Dunkin' Donuts and saw a clearly homeless guy sitting on the side of the road and picking up change. Eventually I saw him stroll into Dunkin, as he was counting his change to buy something I began to get super annoying and talked to him over and over again even when he didn't really want to talk. Since he had maybe $1 in change I bought him a coffee and bagel and asked him to sit down with me. He told me a lot about how people are usually very mean to him because he's homeless, how drugs turned him into the person he hated, he lost his mom to cancer, he never knew his dad and he just wants to be someone his mom would be proud of (along with another hours worth of conversation.)
This lovely mans name was Chris and Chris was one of the most honest & sincere people I've ever met. After realizing I really need to get back to class Chris asked me to wait so he can write something down for me. Handing me a crumpled up receipt he apologized for having shaky hand writing, smiled, and left. I opened his note and this was it. 'I wanted to kill myself today, because of u I now do not. Thank u, beautiful person.' "

Harley is a sweet little girl who has been with us for almost a month with zero interest. She received one email and they didn’t respond or fill out an application. 😞
She is a charming 3 month old puppy, who we think is a pug/bulldog mix. She does well with other dogs of all sizes. We expect she’ll be somewhere in the 30-40 pound range at maturity. "Last Saturday around 3:00 pm during my bike ride, I crossed paths with this man; I rode another 100 meters and then decided to turn back. I had noticed this man was picking up trash along the roadside... I spoke with him for a bit, and he said, 'Look at all the things people throw away.' I asked if I could take a photo to raise awareness, and he agreed... I don't know this man, but this photo should make us think. SIR, A BIG THANK YOU." ❤️
