Night Owl Races

Today is race day!

It is shaping up to a beautiful afternoon of running, the trail is just gorgeous right now, and the light for the night races are bright.

There is still room for you to join us. The 6 Hour Shuffle begins at 2pm. The 10k begins at 7pm. The 5k starts at 7:30pm. We can't wait to see you out there!

The Night Owl 5k, 10k and the 6 hour shuffle is on Saturday October 8, 2022. It includes the following events: 6 hour Shuffle, Night Owl 10k, and Night Owl 5k.

This page will be shut down in the next few weeks and all communications about the Night Owl Races will happen through Athena Clydesdale Racing.

Thank you to everyone who attended the Night Owl Races. It was a fun day at the park with only light bits of rain during the afternoon. Like many other years, the running was even better at night.

The 6 Hour Shuffle results are still being finalized and will be uploaded to UltraSignup as soon as they are ready.

I went back out to the park today and things were moving at a slower pace. I was happy to see a turtle instead of any race garbage so thank you again to all the fantastic runners.

Race Day is just over a week away. Online registration will end on Saturday September 25. Race Day registration will be available with cash or check only. Looking forward to seeing everyone on October 2.

Register now for the 2021 Night Owl Races. Early registration will end on September 12. Effective September 13th, registration fees increase by $10 per runner.

The Allen Family is looking forward to hosting the 2021 Night Owl Races after a year’s absence due to COVID-19. The Night Owl Races were started in 2014 by the Lakeview Hospital Foundation to raise funds for scholarships in memory of Dr. Doug Allen. The 2021 Night Owl Races(Doug Allen Memorial Trail Races) will be held on October 2nd at the Lake Elmo Park Reserve. Races will include the 6 Hour Shuffle along with the Night Owl 5 and 10K races.
