Ford UK designed and built the Anglia (1939-1967). This one, designed by Dragster Hall of Fame pioneer Gene Altizer, is one of two used to grab and hold various NHRA & NASCAR National records in the early to mid 1960's! Fellow teammate & fellow Hall of Famer (2003) Fred Bear owns this re-creation that used many of the original parts of the original car. This 1948 "chop-top" Anglia Gasser was a must see at the recent classic car event at American Classics Garage! The internet won't do in this case, you have to get out of the house and go see for yourself! Fred was there to talk to also, so don't miss the next one!

Don't let the old age of Fred Bear's 1955 Chevy Nomad fool ya! This station wagon will flat out get it, with the Hemi he tucked inside the engine compartment. There's not much that's stock underneath or on the outside, with its shaved door handles. This was one of multiple cars Fred brought to the car show last Saturday at American Classics Garage.

There's still time to get your OBX Classic Trucks 2017 calendar for Christmas! http://etsy.me/1Nn2TXV

Outside of restorer Mark Thompson's side of the Twiddy maintenance building sits this original 1941 Ford 4WD panel dually ready for some upgrades. This is truly an awesome truck! I wouldn't mind owning a panel truck myself.

Don't miss Mark's GMC panel truck that made it into our 2017 calendar! http://etsy.me/1Nn2TXV

This has always been a scary time of year for me with my birthday so near and my age so high! This truck belongs to Adam Anderson, a three-time Monster Jam champ and the builder of this 1964 Chevy ... pickup? Adam is the lead mechanic at Digger's Dungeon. This is an off-hours project that I was able to shoot for the calendar! Scary yea?

Well here it is, folks: the earliest known running Corbitt truck. This 1918 "C" cab flatbed was at the Corbitt Truck Show that ran in tandem with the Show, Shine, S**g & Dine Car Show in Henderson last year. The Corbitt trucks were manufactured in Henderson until 1952. I got to ride in this truck; those tires are solid rubber! I don't recommend going too far in this one, it's hard on the backside! We'll see you this weekend in Henderson at the 2016 car show – come visit our OBX Classic Trucks booth!

This 1932 bus was made by the Indiana Truck Corporation, which was bought out by the White Motor Company that same year. Indiana got started as a stage coach builder and features made-to-order in segments, depending on your needs. This shot was taken in Carova, where the owner hopes to restore it.

This is the "one-eyed" 1946 Dodge 2 ton "dually" that sat beyond the 1946 Chevy 2 ton "dually" I posted last week! I love junkyards, for most if not all of my shopping needs – this place was like a Walmart for classic trucks!

Here's a 1946 Chevy 2 ton "dually" sitting quietly out in front of a junkyard about an hour south of Charlottesville, Virginia. This is just the tip of the iceberg! There were plenty of classics lying around, both cars and trucks. Note the classic Dodge truck in the background.

Last fall at the Show, Shine, S**g & Dine Car Show I found this 1970 GMC pickup truck practically laying on the ground, thanks to the magic of its hydraulics setup! This show was a lot of fun!

Everyone is gearing up to go back to school, so it seems appropriate to share something I shot at our local high school, which hosted the Shamrock Car Show earlier this year. This is a highly sought after 1957 Chevy 3100 NAPCO Power-Pak 4x4. This bruiser only has 59,400 miles on it and has been beautifully restored. See more classics here! http://amzn.to/2aRtEWT

Ready for a flood! These three vehicles could handle any hurricane, though they currently sit peacefully in someone's yard. Our 2017 calendar features historical hurricane listings. Check it out! http://amzn.to/2aRtEWT
