Neal Rebman tkx conversion on his javelin amx. . Neal came to me with a dilemma, he and a group of You Tuber friends were organizing their own version of a power tour and needed his car to be able to cruise at highway speed for a long period of time. A failed rear gear change left him wondering what to do and if that would have even been enough. Our recommendation, swap the t-10 for a tremic tkx. A gear change alone would not drop the rpm like a .68 overdrive would. We had just finished one up with a similar gear and tire combo and we dropped from 3600 rpm to 2100rpm at 75. Next day i get a call from him, let's do it. So we rush to get all the parts together to do the swap and just days before they head out on 4500 mile cruise across the country, him and his buddies get to work. A day later, he is back on the road and ready to go. Here is the video of the swap. This car is as raw and cool as it gets.

1 of 3 engines we built we are dynoing this month. Mild pump gas 304 going I’m a cj5 jeep. Made 335ft lbs of tq and 330hp. Held over 300 ftlbs from 3000 rpm to 5800 and kept making power to 6400 rpm. Lowest oil pressure hot at idle was 50lbs. Had a nice snappy throttle and very smooth power throughout.

Question/ seeking interest in a 5150 induction hardened 258/4.0 roller cams. I can have cores made but would need to do a minimum of 30 or more to start. I could have these all ground right away for a few set up specs or as a core that can be custom ground later as needed. We have been getting requests for 6cyl rollers and so far none of the regular core mfgs make anything for them. I don't mind taking on the brunt of the work and cost as long as i can see a return. I would want to see at least 20 orders up front and after that I would evaluate if we did more after that. Still working on price but tentatively they would be a little more than the v8 rollers unless we got a really big demand to drive the cost down. These would be all made in America cams and not overseas stuff so the steel quality would be high. The amc 6cyl base engine is capable of producting/handling good power and there are a lot more of them left in the world than the v8s
